Background The Central Alabama Veteran Healthcare System (CAVHS) is seeking sources for a contract to provide transitional housing for homeless eligible veterans. The goal of this contract is to facilitate access to a broad range of medical, substance abuse, mental health, rehabilitative, and employment placement services for these veterans. This solicitation is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs' efforts to support veterans in need. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing transitional housing and amenities for homeless eligible veterans. Services will include: - 24/7 operations regardless of federal holidays. - Housing for veterans who may have substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, or other undiagnosed mental illnesses. - Facilitation of access to medical, substance abuse, mental health, rehabilitative, and employment placement services. - The requirement is structured as a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with five pricing periods. Place of Performance Services will be provided at the contractor's facility within a 15-mile radius of the Central Alabama Veteran Healthcare System located at 215 Perry Hill Rd Suite 11, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
