The State of Florida, Department of Military Affairs is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed general contractors for the construction of Project Number 224004, named Palmetto Revamp. This project is aimed at sustaining and maintaining the facilities and systems of the 17,083 square foot Readiness Center for the Florida Army National Guard. The goal is to ensure that all buildings, equipment, and utilities are kept in good working order through necessary repairs and lifecycle replacements.
The project includes full facility sustainment work which encompasses maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle replacements for various components. Specific tasks include: - In-kind or better replacement of all mechanical equipment including exhaust fans and makeup air systems. - Replacement of a large dehumidifier on the left side and installation of a new minisplit on the right side to improve airflow in the vault area. - Installation of a humidistat instead of just temperature control. - Introduction of ducted air to the vault if feasible. - Installation of a new minisplit in the communications room. - Replacement and redesign to facilitate functional operation of exhaust fans in latrines. - Support for HVAC equipment in-kind replacement and replacement starters for all exhaust fan replacements. - Provision of new faceplates for interior electrical outlets and GFI receptacles with weatherproof enclosures for exterior outlets where existing ones are broken. - Purchase and installation of a new Hoffman floor-mounted data cabinet in the communications room. - Replacement of exterior hose bibs to confirm functionality. - Provision of new flush valves and faucets at all existing plumbing fixtures. Additional tasks include installing functional ADA shower seats in men's and women's latrines, renovating stucco finishes, providing concrete bases for uplighting installations, re-caulking window frames, refinishing bollards, replacing tiles in drill halls, painting various rooms, installing resilient athletic flooring, cleaning existing terrazzo floors, providing weather seals on exterior doors, among other detailed maintenance tasks.
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award with specific timelines outlined in the bid documents.

Bidders must be qualified general contractors licensed under Florida Statutes Chapter 399, 455, 489, and 633. They are required to submit qualification data using Form FNG 5085 Contractor’s Experience Questionnaire along with their bid. Additionally, bidders must comply with non-procurement debarment regulations as per Executive Orders 12549 and 12689 (2 CFR part 180). Contractors must also implement a drug-free workplace program as defined in Florida Statutes Section 287.087.
