Wastewater treatment chemicals

Background

The Town of Wareham, through its Water Pollution Control Facility, is seeking qualified vendors for the annual supply and delivery of wastewater treatment chemicals and related services. The contract is set to begin on July 1, 2026, and will end on June 30, 2027. The primary chemical required is methanol in bulk. This initiative aims to ensure the effective treatment of wastewater within the town's facilities.

Work Details

Vendors are required to supply and deliver wastewater treatment chemicals, specifically methanol in bulk, on an 'as need' basis with no minimum order quantity. All products must comply with the American Water Works Association (A.W.W.A.) standards and be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certified for drinking water chemicals. Delivery must occur Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm, with all deliveries being F.O.B. Wareham, MA. Vendors must provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals upon delivery. The contract includes provisions for emergency deliveries and specifies that all products must be new, unopened, and properly labeled according to federal, state, and local laws.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a one-year term starting from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Wareham Water Pollution Control Facility located at 6 Tony’s Lane, Wareham, MA 02571.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of two years of satisfactory performance under at least five different contracts providing similar services. They are required to submit three business references for similar contracts exceeding $5,000 annually within the past twenty-four months. Additionally, bidders must provide insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents and comply with all applicable state tax laws.
