Background This procurement is issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center, located at Stennis Space Center, MS. Work Details The contractor is required to perform rough machining on the following parts: - 2 each of RDSX-102-001 FRONT APERTURE.STEP - 2 each of RDSX-154 REAR APERTURE.STEP. The work must adhere to the following requirements: - Completion within 35 business days or less after the date of award to maintain project schedule ahead of launch. - Meet geometric dimensional and tolerance specifications as outlined in provided drawings. - Use customer-supplied 17-4 PH stainless steel alloy in H1150 heat treat condition. - Conduct stress relief heat treatment per SAE AMS2759/11. - Achieve a smallest roughness of 125uin/3.2um Ra. - Implement a 'Bag and Tag' process for parts. - Conduct formal inspection with a dimensional report upon completion. - Provide necessary certificates and supplier qualifications including ITAR/EAR registration, finishing certification, and certificate of conformance. Note that EDM work will be performed by the customer; parts are to be finish machined with .125" stock left for windows. Print exceptions include: - Note 6: Parts must be machined to .125" before stress relief. - Note 9: No passivation required. - Note 11: Lap work will be done by the customer.
