Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for document shredding services to support the White River Junction VA Medical Center and surrounding Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The goal of this contract is to ensure the secure destruction of sensitive documents, including confidential and medical records, in compliance with federal and state regulations. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and disposal services for document destruction. Specific tasks include: 1. Providing mobile shredding services at the White River Junction VA Medical Center and CBOCs. 2. Maintaining liability insurance throughout the contract duration. 3. Ensuring that all security waste is shredded on-site and transported for recycling. 4. Utilizing lockable containers for secure storage of documents prior to shredding. 5. Witnessing the destruction process by a VA employee or authorized contractor personnel. 6. Providing 45 lockable wheeled totes and 80 front-feed consoles for document collection at various locations within the medical center and CBOCs, with specified pickup frequencies ranging from weekly to monthly.
