Bug Screen Doors

Background

The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of two (2) 12' x 12' Bug Screen Doors at the Water Pollution Control Facility. This initiative aims to enhance the facility's operational efficiency by providing effective bug control. The project is part of the city's ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and sanitary environment within its facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide and install two (2) 12' x 12' Bug Screen Doors, specifically Goff G1 or equivalent models, fully installed and operational. The installation will take place at the Water Pollution Control Facility located at 7525 Bertram Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The contractor is responsible for all necessary work, labor, services, transportation, equipment, materials, and permits required to complete the project as specified in the Scope of Work.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon execution by the City and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Water Pollution Control Facility, 7525 Bertram Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a certification regarding their ability to obtain required insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to participate in a pre-bid meeting scheduled for May 12, 2026. The City has a Buy Local Program that provides preference to businesses located within Linn County that have submitted a notarized Local Business Certificate.
