Rio Rancho Fire & Rescue Station 3- Bay Project - Design

Background

The City of Rio Rancho is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a contract for the design of a vertical building construction and modification of an existing occupied Fire Station. The goal is to enhance life-safety, ensure continuity of emergency operations, and facilitate coordination with Fire and Rescue Department staff throughout the design and construction phases.

Work Details

The Consultant will be responsible for: - Coordination, engineering, architectural services, studies, surveys, analyses, and all necessary documentation to complete both preliminary and final designs. - Construction estimates and specifications. - Right-of-way/property mapping/acquisition for the project. - Potentially providing bidding services and services during construction including office services and construction observation.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to continue until the completion of the project as outlined in the RFP.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Fire Station 3 located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must comply with local business registration requirements, possess necessary licenses as required by New Mexico law, provide proof of insurance including professional liability insurance ($1 million per claim) and general liability insurance ($1 million per occurrence). Additionally, Offerors must submit a Local and Area Business Certification if applicable and include a copy of their Preference Certificate for New Mexico preferences.
