Highway Construction Materials and Services

Background

The Town of Dudley is seeking bids for construction materials and services to support various departments. The contract period spans from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. This initiative aligns with the town's ongoing infrastructure development and maintenance efforts.

Work Details

The contract includes the following items: - ITEM #1 – All grades of medium curing asphalt and emulsion type asphalt; - ITEM #2 – Bituminous concrete, at plant; - ITEM #2A – Bituminous concrete, in place (bidders must be pre-qualified by MassDOT); - ITEM #3 – Gravel and washed screened sand at owner’s pit and delivered; - ITEM #4 – Screened stone at owners’ pit and delivered; - ITEM #5 – Corrugated pipe, steel, and aluminum, delivered to highway garage; - ITEM #6 – Corrugated pipe, polyethylene delivered to highway garage; - ITEM #7 – Cold planing; - ITEM #8 – Asphalt Rubber SAM (bidders must be pre-qualified and have a Certificate of Approval from Mass Highway Specifications).

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Dudley, Massachusetts, with specific deliveries to the highway garage and other designated locations within the town.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders for Items #2A and #8 must be pre-qualified by MassDOT and possess a Certificate of Approval from Mass Highway Specifications. All bidding must comply with Chapter 149, §§26D and 27D of the Massachusetts General Laws regarding minimum wage rates.
