Background The contract is issued by the Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID, as part of their mission to maintain airfield safety and operational efficiency. The goal of the contract is to remove rubber from runways and provide new airfield pavement markings in compliance with UFC 3-260-04, ensuring that the airfield meets safety standards for aircraft operations. Work Details The work includes the following tasks: 1. Remove rubber from runways 30 and 12, covering approximately 420,000 square feet. 2. Coordinate with the 366th CES Power Production personnel for the removal and replacement of aircraft arresting cables in areas where rubber removal occurs. 3. Remove and replace pavement markings at various locations including taxiways, parking aprons, and flightline roads as indicated on provided maps and UFC specifications. 4. Repaint taxiway edge and centerline markings on the Live Ordnance Load Area (LOLA) C as per attached drawings. 5. Maintain cracks and sealant on airfield shoulders, applying sealant to small cracks (¼” to 1¾”) and using backup material for larger cracks (1¾” to 4”). Existing cracks will be cleaned of vegetation, dirt, and debris using appropriate tools before sealing. Herbicide treatment will be applied prior to work commencement to manage weed growth. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period leading up to March 19, 2026. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

Work includes seal and repair of cracks in Asphalt Shoulders adjacent to Taxiway Alpha "A" and the Alpha Arm/Dearm Pad. Sealant will be applied to cracks 1/4" to 1" wide and will include a backer rod where needed. For cracks 1" wide and greater, follow procedures in UFGS 32-01-17.61, Sealing Cracks in Asphalt Paving, provided.
