Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is issuing this solicitation for services at the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) located in Lakeview, MT. The mission of the USFWS is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. The goal of this contract is to address bat colonies inhabiting multiple buildings within the refuge, ensuring safety and compliance with wildlife protection regulations. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: 1. Remove bat colonies from multiple refuge facilities. 2. Conduct preventative exclusion measures to deter re-entry of bats into these facilities. 3. Remediate areas affected by bat activity, including safe removal of accumulated bat waste. 4. Inspect designated buildings for entry points and seal them accordingly. 5. Implement exclusion measures consistent with applicable wildlife protection regulations. Additional buildings may be included based on findings during inspections, which may include Quarters 90, Quarters 1, Biobarn, Maintenance shop, Biolab, Duplex, Bunkhouse, and Cold storage. Specific attention will be given to the Headquarters Office Building which has a significant maternal colony of little brown bats and has been identified with multiple entry points needing sealing. Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from October 1, 2026 to March 1, 2027. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various facilities within the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge located in Lakeview, Montana.
