Snow removal - FAC120 Vendors - Dedham, MA.

Background

The Department of Mental Health is issuing a contract for snow removal and related services under the FAC120 Landscape Services program. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe access to facilities during snow events, particularly at 29 Hitchins Drive, Dedham, MA.

Work Details

The vendor will provide snowstorm cleanup and sanding/salting services for accumulations over 2 inches. Cleanup includes removing snow from the end of the road driveway in front of the shed/smoking area, parking spots in front of the house, and pathways around the sides of the house leading to fire exit doors. During larger snow events, part of the driveway/parking area must remain clear for staff during shift changes and emergency ambulance access. Services are required between 5:30am – 7:00am, 1:30pm – 3:00pm, and 9:30pm – 11:00pm. Any additional services requiring payment must be pre-approved by a manager. All rates must be all-inclusive and prevailing wage applies.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed during the winter months as needed based on snowfall events.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered as a Small Business in Massachusetts to qualify for the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP). They must have their principal place of business in Massachusetts, been in business for at least one year, employ 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, and have gross revenues of $15 million or less.
