Background The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS), established in 1907, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to solicit bids from qualified firms for Landscape and Lawncare Services across multiple ISHS locations. The agency aims to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of its properties through professional landscaping services. The current contract for these services expires on June 22, 2026. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive landscape and lawncare services, including but not limited to: mowing grass to specified heights, trimming around structures, pruning trees and shrubs, fertilization, weed control, sprinkler system maintenance, insect and disease control, debris removal, spring/fall cleanup, and snow/ice removal. Specific tasks include: - Mowing: Weekly mowing from April 1st to November 7th at designated locations. - Trimming: Must be performed on the same day as mowing. - Pruning: Every three months for trees and shrubs under fifteen feet. - Fertilization: Seasonal applications based on grass type. - Weed Control: Bi-weekly applications of herbicides and manual removal as necessary. - Sprinkler System Maintenance: Fall blowouts before freezing temperatures. - Insect and Disease Control: As needed in spring and fall. - Debris Control: Removal of all landscaping debris after work completion. - Snow/Ice Removal: Comprehensive services during winter months including deicing materials application. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract is one year with the possibility of renewal for up to five years upon mutual agreement. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various ISHS locations in Boise, Idaho including the Old Penitentiary, Idaho History Center, Bureau of Reclamation Building, Assay Office (SHPO), Wardens House, Bishops House, Guards House Beds, Old Pen Barns & Growing Fields, and Museum/Pioneer Village. Bidder Requirements Bidders must possess a Professional Pesticide Applicator license from the Idaho State Department of Agriculture. They must demonstrate financial stability to perform the required services and comply with all applicable laws. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to submit any proposed modifications or exceptions to the ITB requirements prior to the deadline.
