Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), New Mexico State Office, is issuing a solicitation for the repair of the HVAC chiller at the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center & Museum. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning of the HVAC system, which is crucial for maintaining environmental conditions within the museum. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for repairing an existing York HVAC chiller, specifically a two-circuit unit. The tasks include: 1. **Chiller Repairs (Both Circuits)**: - Replace suction and discharge pressure transducers for both circuits. - Replace suction and liquid line temperature sensors for both circuits. - Recover and dispose of existing refrigerant in compliance with 40 CFR Part 82 and applicable regulations. - Replace liquid line filter-drier cores. - Perform a triple evacuation as per manufacturer’s recommendations or industry standards. - Recharge refrigerant R-410A to factory-specified charge weight. 2. **Operational Verification**: Verify that the chiller operates according to manufacturer and industry standards by measuring various parameters such as pressure and temperature comparisons, liquid line temperatures before and after filters, chilled water Delta T, and approach temperatures. 3. **Troubleshooting**: If operational verification fails, troubleshoot the system and provide a written assessment with recommended repairs and cost estimates. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from June 2, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center & Museum located at 27501 CO-184, Dolores, CO 81323.
