Background The Government is seeking to establish a parking lot in Oklahoma City that meets specific requirements for the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). The goal of this contract is to provide a facility that includes a minimum of 1,000 parking spaces, which consists of 970 standard-sized spaces, 26 ADA handicap spaces, and 4 van accessible handicap spaces. The project aims to comply with federal and local government standards for safety, security, accessibility, and sustainability. Work Details The contractor must ensure that the parking lot meets the following requirements: - Compliance with federal and local government requirements for fire safety, physical security, accessibility, and sustainability standards. - The offered space must be built to DVA specifications and zoned for DVA’s intended use. - The lease will be a fully serviced lease including utilities such as lights, trash service, ice, and snow removal. - The location must not be in the FEMA 100-year flood plain and should not involve a sublease. - Preference is given to properties located on public bus transportation routes and within 2,640 feet of a public bus stop. - The contractor is responsible for designing and building tenant improvements (TIs) based on final design requirements developed after award.
