The contract aims to manage invasive plant species through motorized treatments, ensuring the ecological integrity of the park. This Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will facilitate ongoing efforts to control noxious weeds over a specified period, enhancing the park's conservation initiatives. Work Details The contractor will perform motorized invasive plant treatments, which include: 1. Motorized Cover Treatments: Full coverage spraying of defined areas using ground unit boom sprayers. The contractor must treat a minimum of 150 acres per workday, applying herbicide at a rate of no less than 12 gallons per acre. Daily treatment records must be maintained for each treatment location. An estimated minimum of 50 acres will be awarded annually, with the base year planned for approximately 100 acres. 2. Motorized Spot Treatments: Conducting surveys and treatments in defined areas using handheld spray guns or short-duration boom sprayers from Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs). The contractor must also maintain daily treatment records and is expected to treat a minimum of 250 acres annually, with the base year estimated at approximately 450 acres. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials, equipment, labor, licensing, supervision, transportation, and supplies required for safe herbicide application in compliance with herbicide labels. Period of Performance The contract period spans from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027 for the base year, with two additional option periods extending through May 31, 2029.
