This initiative is authorized under WV Code 16-4C-23 and 55-7B-9c(k), aiming to establish a centralized resource center for efficient triage, transfer, and treatment of seriously injured or ill patients in the state. The focus is on counties in southern West Virginia with high densities of African American and Hispanic American populations. Work Details The Grantee will provide physical and technical support for the operation of the Medical Coordination Center (MCC), including: - Managing the operation, physical plant, basic utilities, and custodial support for the MCC. - Ensuring compliance with building and fire codes for the MCC space, including expansion to the 2nd floor. - Reporting outages of public utilities and maintaining daily logs. - Acting as a liaison to OEMS for EMS Region 5 Medical Command (WestCom). - Advising on policies and procedures for EMS operations. - Coordinating toll-free 'one-call' lines for perinatal transport and technical support. - Overseeing the State Trauma Registry and trauma designation process, including payment of fees. - Managing training activities related to the MCC, including scheduling training sessions. The Grantee must ensure continuous operation of EMS Region 5 Medical Command on a 24/7 basis. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
