Background The City of Rio Rancho is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a contract for On-Call Engineering Services for the Public Works Traffic Section. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the selected consultant will provide comprehensive engineering services that include coordination, studies, surveys, analyses, and necessary documentation for project design and construction. These services are intended to meet both local and federal requirements for potential future funding. Work Details The Consultant shall be responsible for: 1. Coordination of all engineering activities related to the project. 2. Conducting studies and surveys necessary for project development. 3. Preparing preliminary or final design documents, construction estimates, specifications, and right-of-way mapping. 4. Providing office services during construction and conducting construction observation as required. 5. Supplying manhours or costs as requested to advance the currently scoped design to additional phases if budget allows. Period of Performance The contract period will be negotiated with the successful Offeror and will terminate upon satisfactory completion of the Scope of Services. Place of Performance Services will be performed within the City of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Bidder Requirements Offerors must comply with non-discrimination laws and demonstrate qualifications relevant to similar projects. They must maintain professional liability insurance of at least $1 million per claim and $2 million in aggregate, as well as commercial general liability insurance with similar coverage limits. Additionally, Offerors must register their business with the City prior to entering into a contract.
