Background The Colorado Department of Corrections is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Dental Prosthetics to fabricate and repair dental prosthetics for offenders. This service is critical for the health and well-being of the incarcerated population, ensuring they receive necessary dental care. Work Details The awarded contractor will be responsible for the fabrication and delivery of a wide range of dental prosthetics, including both intermediate (unfinished) and finished products. All products must meet rigorous quality assurance standards set by the CDOC Chief of Dental Services. The contractor must modify techniques, procedures, and materials as necessary to comply with CDOC's quality assurance protocols. The CDOC will provide the necessary materials to commence work, including dental patient models and lab prescriptions. The contractor must return original models immediately after fabrication and deliver finished prosthetics back to the CDOC facility. Invoicing must include detailed statements for each completed device, including completion date, patient identification, lab prescription number, description of services performed, and corresponding fees as outlined in Exhibit D - Pricing and Specifications. Period of Performance The anticipated contract term is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with options for up to four additional one-year renewals at the State's discretion. Place of Performance Services will be performed at designated CDOC facilities in Colorado as specified in Attachment A – Facility Locations. Bidder Requirements Offerors must submit a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) prior to award. They must comply with all applicable state and federal laws, including Colorado Dental Practice Law and HIPAA regulations. Offerors are required to undergo a criminal background check and complete necessary training before providing services at CDOC facilities.
