Background The FBI's Information Technology Division (ITOD) is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing ruggedized USB thumb drives for operational use. The goal is to support secure asset tracking and field deployment with devices that meet durability, identification, and customization standards. The contract requires two color variants—red and green—for internal classification and operational differentiation. Work Details Vendors should indicate capability to provide one or more of the following ruggedized USB thumb drives: - 64GB USBA 3.0 Rugged Thumb Drive - 256GB USBA 3.0 Rugged Thumb Drive - 64GB USBC Rugged Thumb Drive - 256GB USBC Rugged Thumb Drive All drives must include: - Rugged aluminum or metallic outer housing - Direct engraved or permanently affixed labeling tied to a unique serial number - Separate barcoding using Government-provided alphanumeric sequences - Two required color variants: Red and Green - If the housing does not fully cover the USB connector, a securely attached protective cover (threaded, slide/twist lock, friction/press fit, or stowable connector) - Secure attachment point for key ring or lanyard. Additionally, vendors are requested to provide minimum order quantities (MOQs) for customized units, lead times for production and delivery, and any limitations regarding color matching, engraving, or barcoding.
