This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1240LR26Q0010 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for AmpliFire Isothermal Fluorometers. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is issuing this solicitation to procure AmpliFire Isothermal Fluorometers necessary for analyzing aquatic invasive species samples from National Forest System lakes in Idaho, particularly in response to a quagga mussel detection incident in Twin Falls, Idaho. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns and aims to facilitate efficient analysis of environmental DNA (eDNA) samples from various lakes and reservoirs across the Intermountain Region. Work Details The contract involves the procurement of seven AmpliFire Pro with Two Pods. The fluorometers must meet the following specifications: 1. Field portable isothermal fluorometer for real-time measurement of loop-mediated isothermal amplification reactions (LAMP). 2. Rechargeable battery with a minimum life of six hours. 3. Three channels for fluorescent detection of different wavelengths. 4. Touch-screen display showing real-time results. 5. Ability to input date and time for each run. 6. Internal memory capacity for at least 1,000 runs, with results reviewable on screen or exportable as output files. 7. Capability to name each run and sample within a run. 8. USB interface for data transfer. 9. QR code reader for loading reaction conditions and programming fluorescence thresholds for automatic classification of samples. 10. Operating temperature range of 4°C to 33°C, with customizable reaction temperatures between 45°C to 72°C. 11. Dimensions not exceeding 10.5” width, 5” height, 15.5” depth, and weight no more than nine pounds. 12. Includes power supply and manual. 13. Ability to transfer results files in Excel format including raw fluorescence data using USB connection. 14. Compatibility with 0.2 mL PCR tubes with at least eight wells. 15. Capability to analyze reaction volumes as low as 20 microliters. Period of Performance Delivery is required within 90 days after receipt of order.
