Apprenticeship Experience Statewide Coordinator

The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) is looking for a coordinator to lead apprenticeship expansion efforts in public high schools. These efforts will increase apprenticeship offerings for students attending public high schools throughout the state. This position will mentor representatives of school districts, connect with training providers, and build relationships with businesses. The coordinator will assist in the development of pre-apprenticeships, including those that meet the Apprenticeship Experience standards, and connect students to employers offering Registered Apprenticeship programs. The ultimate goal is to create an active and sustainable pre-apprenticeship model throughout the state.The State anticipated funding of up to $300,000 per year, not to exceed $900,000 over the three year contract period. This project will be issued as one multi-year contract covering the full three yearperiod.Offerors may email inquiries concerning this RFP to obtain clarification of requirements.
