Background The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of a single-family home located in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. The home was constructed in 1967 and has tested positive for asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP). The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and compliant rehabilitation work that adheres to federal, state, and tribal regulations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for various rehabilitation tasks including: carpentry, demolition, drywall and finish work, electrical work, painting and finishing, and plumbing. Specific tasks include: - Installation of six-mil plastic sheeting in work areas to contain dust. - Use of HEPA vacuums to clean lead dust from surfaces. - Removal of ACM in compliance with EPA regulations. - Safe disposal of debris in accordance with local regulations. The project must be completed within 45 working days from the notice to proceed (NTP). Failure to complete on time will incur liquidated damages of $100 per day.
