Background The Second Judicial Circuit of the Judiciary of the State of Hawai’i is issuing a contract for the replacement of door operator assemblies and ADA push pads at two locations: Hoapili Hale and Lahaina District Court. The goal of this contract is to enhance accessibility and functionality in compliance with ADA standards. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for removing and replacing six (6) existing single swing door operator assemblies and twelve (12) access ADA door push pads. At Hoapili Hale, four (4) existing single swing door operator assemblies will be replaced with four (4) Assa Abloy SW200i Surface Mounted Swing Door operators, and eight (8) access ADA push pads will be installed that are compatible with these operators. This work must be performed after regular business hours, on weekends or holidays. At Lahaina District Court, two (2) existing single swing door operator assemblies will also be replaced with two (2) Assa Abloy SW200i Surface Mounted Swing Door operators, along with four (4) compatible ADA push pads, which must be installed during business hours on Tuesdays or Fridays. The contractor must ensure proper disposal of the existing assemblies and pads and verify that all new installations function correctly after completion. Period of Performance The contract term is from execution through December 14, 2026. Place of Performance Work will take place at Hoapili Hale located at 2145 Main Street, Wailuku, Maui, HI 96793 and Lahaina District Court located at 1870 Honoapiilani Hwy, Lahaina, HI 96761. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide proof of compliance as per HRS § 103D-310(c), which requires registration with Hawaii Compliance Express for contracts valued at $25,000 or more. Additionally, bid security is required to accompany offers. Contractors must ensure that all employees working under this contract pass a criminal history background check conducted by the Judiciary.
