The College intends to award an annual contract for On-Call Plumbing Maintenance/Repair Services from licensed plumbing contractors at JCCC owned or leased facilities. Typical services may include furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, services, tasks, and incidental and customary work necessary to competently perform on-call plumbing maintenance, repairs (both emergency and non-emergency), upgrades, installations and replacements. Background Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is a comprehensive, public, two-year institution of higher education located in Overland Park, Kansas. Established in 1969, JCCC serves approximately 35,000 students and is dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening communities through learning. The College intends to award an annual contract for On-Call Plumbing Maintenance/Repair Services from licensed plumbing contractors at JCCC owned or leased facilities. Work Details The contractor will provide on-call plumbing maintenance and repair services, including but not limited to: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, services, tasks, and incidental work necessary for both emergency and non-emergency plumbing repairs. The scope of work includes upgrades, installations, and replacements as needed. The contractor must be capable of responding to emergency requests 24/7 throughout the year. Some projects may be billed on a time and material basis or require a not-to-exceed price for specific tasks. The contractor is responsible for maintaining safe work areas and ensuring that all work complies with applicable Federal, State, and Local building codes. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract will be one year from the date of execution by the College, with the possibility of extending for up to four additional one-year increments upon annual notice. Place of Performance The services will be performed at various locations owned or leased by Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. Bidder Requirements Contractors must be licensed plumbing contractors and are encouraged to have experience with similar projects. They should demonstrate qualifications of staff assigned to the project and provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation. Additionally, contractors must comply with all terms outlined in the RFP/RFB and possess necessary registrations such as SAM.gov if applicable.
