The College intends to contract for rapid response on-call painting and wall-covering services from contractors at JCCC owned or leased facilities. Typical services may include furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, services, tasks and incidental and customary work necessary to competently perform on-call Painting and Wall-Covering services that may include the painting, staining, or refinishing of interior and exterior surfaces (drywall, wood, masonry, metal etc.), minor repairs/patching of drywall and other surfaces. The use of two-part epoxy products may be required. Night shift hours will be required for some work because of both access to spaces and because of odor concerns. The College intends to contract for rapid response on-call painting and wall-covering services at its owned or leased facilities to maintain its educational environment. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and services necessary for on-call painting and wall-covering services. This includes: - Painting, staining, or refinishing of interior and exterior surfaces (drywall, wood, masonry, metal). - Minor repairs/patching of drywall and other surfaces. - Use of two-part epoxy products may be required. - Night shift hours may be necessary due to access issues and odor concerns. The scope of work is variable; no guaranteed hours or annual sums are promised. Projects may proceed on a time-and-materials basis or require a not-to-exceed price for specific tasks. The contractor must ensure safe work areas with barricades and signage and leave work areas clean. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract will be one year from the date of execution by JCCC, with the possibility of four one-year extensions based on annual notice to the contractor. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various locations owned or leased by Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. Bidder Requirements Contractors must demonstrate experience in similar public or private projects. They should provide qualifications of staff assigned to JCCC projects including an organizational chart and training/safety program evaluations. Contractors must also comply with all applicable laws and possess necessary licenses to operate in Kansas.
