Background The Town of Rangeley, Maine, is seeking qualified contractors to construct an 18-foot hexagonal gazebo as part of their community park development. Work Details The contractor shall provide a complete, turnkey installation of the gazebo, which includes: - Structural Requirements: Hexagonal gazebo with an 18-foot diameter, constructed using rough cut hemlock framing and supported by pressure-treated skids. - Floor System: Installation of pressure-treated floor joists, exterior-grade decking that is securely fastened, and round cement pads with proper frost protection. - Roof System: A framed roof structure made from hemlock, ZIP System roof sheathing and underlayment, and a fully installed standing seam metal roofing system. - All materials must be rated for exterior use in the Maine climate. - Compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards is mandatory.
