Background This project is issued by the Government Customer located at Kirtland Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico. The primary goal of this contract is to refurbish and remodel three existing kitchenettes in Building 1029. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary services, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, investigations, studies, specifications, drawings, and supervision required for the successful completion of the project. All work must comply with applicable codes as adopted and modified by the state of New Mexico, Federal regulations, and Kirtland AFB building codes. Work Details The scope of work includes demolishing and removing existing cabinetry, flooring, lights, fixtures, sinks, disposals, osmosis systems, ceiling tiles in their entirety. The contractor will install new cabinetry and countertops (high visibility, heavy use type), new fixtures/sinks (including coffee pot stub-out), new garbage disposals, new commercial tile flooring/base cove, new acoustic ceilings/grid, new exhaust fans, new LED light fixtures, new paint throughout the kitchenettes, and new osmosis systems. Specific tasks include: - Room 111 (70 SQFT) and Room 112 (105 SQFT) will be combined to create one kitchenette/break area with a walk-thru opening. - Demolition of existing elements including cabinetry and flooring. - Installation of new cabinetry approximately 11 feet long with standard depth. - Relocation of electrical switches and outlets as required by code. - Dust mitigation measures must be implemented to prevent dust from entering non-work areas during construction. - Phasing of work to allow one or two kitchenettes to remain operational during renovations.
