Background The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Elk Creek Wetlands - Phase 2 project. The agency's mission is to manage and conserve the state's natural resources, including wildlife and parks. The goal of this contract is to perform wetland improvements that will enhance the ecological integrity of the Elk Creek area. Work Details The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, and services necessary to perform the following wetland improvements: - Overall site grading - Construction of a fill supply pipeline - Installation of meter pits adjacent to each PVC fill riser at each pool. The project locations include the Clinton Wildlife Area Office at 206 N 1600 Rd., Lecompton, KS 66050. The contractor must prepare and submit a Stormwater Pollution Plan (SWPPP) for review and acceptance prior to the Notice to Proceed. The contractor is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and updating the SWPPP throughout construction until final stabilization is achieved with a minimum of 70% vegetative coverage in all disturbed areas. Period of Performance The work must be completed within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issued by the KDWP Project Manager. Place of Performance The primary location for performance is at the Clinton Wildlife Area Office in Lecompton, Kansas. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have been in business for a minimum of five successive years and provide evidence of successfully completed five projects of comparable complexity and scope. A 5% bid guarantee is required. Bidders must also comply with various certifications including Immigration Reform and Control Act compliance, Tax Clearance Certificate submission, and certification regarding non-engagement in boycotts against Israel.
