Background The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking competitive bids for improvements to the Fancy Creek and El Dorado outdoor shooting ranges. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facilities by installing bullet traps and sound-absorbing materials, thereby improving safety and noise control at these locations. Work Details The awarded contractor will be responsible for furnishing all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Installation of bullet traps on existing berms at both shooting ranges. 2. Installation of sound-absorbing materials on concrete walls and specified overhead safety baffles at both locations. 3. The project includes two separate components: (A) Fancy Creek - Bullet Trap and Sound Attenuation, (B) El Dorado - Bullet Trap and Sound Attenuation. 4. A bid guaranty of 5% of the total amount bid is required, which can be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or a properly executed bond payable to the State. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe that aligns with project specifications as outlined in the bid documents. Place of Performance The work will be performed at two locations: Fancy Creek Shooting Range and El Dorado Shooting Range in Kansas. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a current Tax Clearance Certificate with their submission. Additionally, bidders are required to submit various forms including a completed Immigration Reform and Control Certification, Sexual Harassment Form, Boycott of Israel Certification, Certification of Procurement, and a Tax Clearance Certificate. A performance bond may also be required depending on the total price bid.
