Background The Town of Royalton, Vermont, is seeking bids for construction services to improve the HVAC system at the Royalton Town Garage. The project aims to replace an existing fuel oil-fired boiler with a more efficient propane-fired boiler as part of the Town's energy improvement initiatives. This work is funded through a SOV MERP Implementation Grant from the Department of Building and General Services (BGS). Work Details The scope of work includes the following: 1. Replacement of the existing fuel oil fired 169 MBH unit with a condensing propane-fired boiler with a modulating burner and stainless-steel heat exchanger. 2. The new boiler specifications include: - Heating capacity: 150,000 BTU/hr - Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE): ≥ 90 - Turndown ratio: ≥10:1 - ECM circulator motor - Voltage: 120/240V - Propane conversion kit - Control module for supply water temperature adjustment based on outdoor air temperature. Basis of design is Rinnai IP150S or equivalent. 3.
