Background The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the state capital and largest municipality with over 202,000 residents, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the reconstruction of Boyd Street from 43rd St. to 44th St. The city's mission is to ensure a safe, secure, and prosperous environment for its residents. The project aims to enhance infrastructure and improve public safety. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive heavy construction services for the Boyd Street Reconstruction project, which includes: - site preparation - unclassified excavation - borrow material - aggregate base course (Class 7) - asphalt surface course - concrete driveway (private - 6" thick) - concrete curb & gutter - concrete sidewalk (4") - junction boxes - curb inlets - storm drain pipes (15") - solid sodding - maintenance of traffic & traffic control - final cleanup. Estimated quantities include: 1 LS site preparation; 597 CY unclassified excavation; 15 CY borrow material; 265 TON aggregate base course; 114 TON asphalt surface course; 1250 SF concrete driveway; 590 LF concrete curb & gutter; and 1180 SF concrete sidewalk. Period of Performance The contractor must commence work within ten (10) calendar days after receiving the written 'Notice to Proceed' and complete the project within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days thereafter. Place of Performance The work will be performed on Boyd Street between 43rd St. and 44th St., Little Rock, Arkansas. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be licensed to operate in the State of Arkansas and provide a current copy of their Arkansas State Contractor License prior to contract award. A completed Statement of Vendor’s Qualifications form must be submitted along with a bid bond of 5% for bids over $50,000. Bidders must also certify that they do not engage in boycotts against Israel or certain industries as specified by Arkansas law.
