Background The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, representing the Kansas Health and Environmental Laboratories (KHEL), is seeking qualified companies to provide standards for environmental testing in PFAS following EPA Methods 533 & 1633. This initiative aims to enhance the state's capacity to conduct environmental testing and ensure compliance with federal standards. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing environmental testing standards specifically for PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) in accordance with EPA Methods 533 & 1633. This includes developing, validating, and implementing testing protocols that meet or exceed EPA guidelines. The contractor must ensure that all products and services proposed meet the specifications outlined in the request for proposal. Period of Performance The contract period will commence from the date of award through August 31, 2027, with an option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the Kansas Health and Environmental Laboratories located in Topeka, Kansas. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with all applicable federal and state laws, including those related to immigration reform and control. They must also provide a Tax Clearance Certificate as part of their proposal. Additionally, bidders are required to certify that they are not engaged in a boycott of goods or services from Israel as per HB 2482 from the 2018 Legislative Session.
