Background The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is seeking a Contractor to provide inspection, maintenance, incident response, and parts replacement services for its Halon Fire Suppression System. This system is critical for fire safety in the 3rd Floor Communications and Server Rooms located at 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102. The specific model in use is the FenwalNET 8000-ML Halon fire suppression system, which requires compliance with applicable fire and safety codes. Work Details The Contractor will be responsible for the following services: 1. Annual Halon Suppression System Inspection per NFPA 2001 standards. 2. Semi-Annual Halon Suppression System Inspection. 3. Conducting a 5-Year Pre-action System Inspection if applicable. 4. Performing recurring pre-action system inspections as required by applicable fire codes. 5. Reporting through The Compliance engine as needed. 6. Providing incident response with qualified personnel including a Fire Alarm Technician, Fire Suppression Technician, and Sprinkler Fitter. 7. Replacement of Halon fire suppression system components that are end-of-life, defective, or unrepairable, subject to prior written approval from CPUC. Period of Performance The contract period will commence on June 30, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2028. There is an option for three additional one-year extensions at the original rates. Place of Performance Services will be performed at the CPUC's facility located at 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with California Government Code Section 14835 et seq., which provides a five percent (5%) preference for Small/Micro business enterprises (SB/MB). Additionally, there is a goal of three percent (3%) DVBE participation; however, these are not mandatory requirements but incentives that may apply during the evaluation process.
