Background The University of North Dakota (UND) is seeking a contractor to maintain the athletic grass playing fields used by UND Athletics and campus recreation. The goal of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified turf management professionals to care for, protect, and enhance these fields. The contract will be coordinated by UND Athletics and has an initial term of two years, with options to extend in two-year increments for a maximum total of ten years. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the turf grass fields at a premier level suitable for NCAA Division 1 Athletics and campus recreation/club sports. Services include: 1. Mowing: - Reel mowing on playing surfaces - Rotary mowing on non-playing/recreation areas 2. Turf management best practices: - Dethatching - Aerifying - Top dressing - Overseeding - Chemical applications (fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, herbicides) 3. Additional services: - Line striping - Clean up - String trimming - Related grounds management for turf grass facilities on campus. Period of Performance The initial contract term will be two years, starting approximately June 1, 2026, with options for extension in two-year increments up to a total of ten years. Place of Performance All work will be performed on the University of North Dakota campus, specifically including the University of North Dakota Soccer Field at Bronson Field and the University of North Dakota Practice Field at Memorial Stadium. Bidder Requirements The contractor must possess all necessary licenses such as CDL and Chemical Applicator’s licenses, along with any other requirements set by local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, contractors must comply with North Dakota Secretary of State registration requirements before contract award.
