Background

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) and the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) are seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Salesforce Public Sector Solution Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection implementation services. This initiative, known as Service Gateway Phase 2, aims to enhance the existing Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection (LPI) application established in Phase 1. The goal is to improve workflow automation and data sharing across various programs to facilitate more efficient permit applications and inspections.

Work Details

The project will focus on several key areas: 1. **Workflow Automation**: Automating LPI tasks and routing rules for existing programs while adding functionality for IDHS Lift Devices, Amusement Devices, Boilers and Pressure Vessels, Child Care Ministries, and Practitioner License programs. - Expedite IDHS processes through self-service options. - Reduce application-to-permit cycle times. - Enhance staff productivity by minimizing manual tasks. - Enable online tracking of applications and payments by applicants. - Provide comprehensive device data and inspection histories for public safety. - Ensure timely entry of information for reviews and approvals. - Allow offline inspections when internet access is unavailable. - Implement QR codes for improved data access. 2. **Design and Deployment of a Ticketing System**: Utilizing Salesforce case management to track tickets from intake through resolution. 3. **Implementation of Shopping Cart Functionality**: Creating a user-friendly online payment experience for DHS staff and customers. 4. **Inspection Scheduling and Maps**: Establishing inspection calendars integrated with Microsoft Outlook for scheduling inspections. 5. **Offline Capabilities**: Ensuring internal users can conduct inspections without internet access.
