Background The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) is seeking quotes for grounds maintenance services at the Juvenile Correction Centers (JCCs). The goal of this contract is to ensure that the grounds are maintained in a neat and safe condition, supporting the mission of IDJC to provide a secure environment for juveniles. The contract will cover services at JCC-Lewiston and JCC-Saint Anthony. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive grounds maintenance services including: - Mowing and weed trimming lawns at JCC-Lewiston once per week. - Weeding and trimming outside perimeter fences monthly. - Pruning trees and bushes twice annually. - Debris removal twice per month. - Applying herbicides and fertilizers twice annually. Specific requirements include maintaining confidentiality of juvenile identities, ensuring all employees undergo background checks, compliance with applicable laws regarding chemical use, and proper disposal of debris. The contractor must also coordinate service schedules with IDJC contacts. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from mid-March through mid-November each year, subject to weather conditions. Place of Performance Services will be performed at two locations: - JCC-Lewiston located at 140 Southport Ave, Lewiston, Idaho 83501 - JCC-Saint Anthony located at 2220 E. 600 N., Saint Anthony, Idaho 83445. Bidder Requirements Vendors must have at least five years of experience providing grounds maintenance services. They must submit evidence of this experience along with their quotes. Additionally, vendors are required to obtain specific insurance coverage as outlined in Exhibit C – Insurance Requirements.
