Background The Town of Wells, Maine, is seeking proposals for professional land surveying services for the Wells Recreational Facility located on Branch Road. Work Details The selected land surveying firm will be responsible for producing a boundary survey and existing conditions plan, including the installation of boundary corner monumentation for Tax Map 56, Lot 15. Specific tasks include: 1. Conducting deed and plan research. 2. Locating existing boundary monumentation to establish coordinates for all existing property corners and corners to be set. 3. Producing a plan of the parcel and associated access easements in both paper and digital formats. 4. Orienting the plan to state plane coordinates with point coordinates provided. 5. Installing new monuments at the exterior limits of the boundaries. 6. Documenting the location of existing buildings, pavement, visible utilities, woods roads, trails, edge of Hobbs Pond, limits of fields, courts, playgrounds, gravel areas, wells, fences, tree lines, and cemeteries. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by May 19 or June 2, 2026.
