Background The Town of Wells, Maine, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional land surveying services. The purpose of this contract is to conduct a boundary survey for a 32-acre parcel of land currently owned by Beth Cilluffo, which is being donated to the Town as conservation land. Work Details The selected land surveying firm will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Perform deed and plan research related to the subject parcel. 2. Locate existing boundary monumentation as necessary to establish coordinates for all existing property corners and set new corners. 3. Produce a boundary survey plan of the parcel and associated access easements in both paper and digital formats, oriented to state plane coordinates with point coordinates provided. 4. Install new monuments at the exterior limits of the boundaries. 5. Identify and locate existing woods roads and cemeteries if present on the property. Period of Performance The contract work is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe that must be included in the proposal submitted by bidders. Place of Performance The surveying services will be performed on the Cilluffo property located off Perry Oliver Road in Wells, Maine.
