Additionally the contractor shall mow/till/monitor and sample the Land Treatment Facility during the growing season (June-Sept). Background The contract is issued by the Grand Forks Air Force Base (GFAFB) in North Dakota. The mission of the agency involves maintaining environmental compliance and operational readiness. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper inspection, testing, cleaning, repair, and maintenance of oil/water separator (OWS) systems, grit chambers, and grease traps, as well as the management of used vegetable cooking oil at GFAFB. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Inspect all OWS systems, grit chambers, and grease traps according to specified frequencies using an API calibrated stick and detection paste for measuring fluid thickness. Inspection reports must include device location, type, condition, service recommendations, and all items inspected. Reports are due within 14 days post-inspection. 2. Conduct sampling and analysis upon request from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), including one liquid sample (wastewater) and one solids sample (sludge or grit) prior to cleaning each device. Samples must be analyzed by a NDDEQ certified lab for specified parameters. Cleaning cannot commence until sampling results are received and approved by the COR. 3. Clean OWS and grit chambers after receiving COR approval based on inspection reports and sampling results. Liquid waste must be handled according to its characteristics; non-hazardous water can be discharged into the base's sanitary sewer with COR approval. 4. Perform grounds maintenance at the Land Treatment Facility (LTF), including mowing, tilling, monitoring, and sampling during the growing season (June-September). The contractor is responsible for maintaining remedial systems at LTF and conducting groundwater and soil sampling annually between September 1st and October 31st. Period of Performance Base year: July 2026 - June 2027; Option year 1: July 2027 - June 2028; Option year 2: July 2028 - June 2029; Option year 3: July 2029 - June 2030; Option year 4: July 2030 - June 2031.
