Contractor will: Palletize, mark/label, pick up, transport and demilitarize/dispose of conventional munitions by a recognized industry standard method complying with all State and Federal laws for a variety of conventional munitions. An approved industry standard method includes, where appropriate, flashing in the thermal treatment unit for pyrotechnics, detonation, etc. Title (i.e. ownership) of components is transferred to the contractor for disposal when fully demilitarized. Munitions identified in the attachments are U.S. DoD stock listed munitions purchased.

Background The U.S. Air Force is issuing a solicitation for commercial services related to the disposal of conventional munitions at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. The goal of this contract is to ensure that munitions are palletized, marked, labeled, picked up, transported, and disposed of in compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws. The contractor will assume ownership of the munitions for disposal once they are fully demilitarized. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: 1. Palletize conventional munitions; 2. Mark and label munitions appropriately; 3. Pick up munitions from designated locations; 4. Transport munitions to a disposal site; 5.
