Background The USDA Forest Service is issuing this solicitation for the brushing of 32 miles of the Dead Horse Run Motorized Trail, located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Great Divide Ranger District in Wisconsin. The goal of this contract is to maintain trails to standard for off-highway vehicle (OHV) and snowmobile use. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for brushing a total of 32 miles of the Dead Horse Trail, which includes: - all trails north of Highway 77 (~28 miles) - a section between Forest Road 335 and the West Torch River (~2 miles) - the Grassy Trail Head Connector (~1.5 miles) - the Grassy Trail Head (<0.5 miles) The work must meet standards set by the USDA for trail maintenance. Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from May 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed in Ashland County, Wisconsin, specifically within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest at the Great Divide Ranger District.
