Background The National Elk Refuge, managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Established in 1912, it spans 24,700 acres and serves as a sanctuary for one of the largest elk herds in the United States. The refuge is home to approximately 7,500 elk each winter. The purpose of this contract is to perform electrical repairs on 18 identified structures within the Elk Refuge Compound. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for electrical repairs on the following structures: Administrative Building (1997), New Shop Building with 3 Vehicle Bays (2010), Quarters #1 (1942), Quarters #3, Quarters #9, Quarters #12, Quarters #147, Quarters #128, Quarters #20, Miller House Garage, Duplex Quarters 14538 A/B, Horse Barn, 4-Car Garage/Bunkroom, Equipment Storage Building, Log Horse Barn, Blacksmith Shop, Winter Pasture Horse Shelter, and Miller Residence. Specific tasks include: installation of hardwired exit signs and replacement of non-working GFCI outlets at various locations; complete electrical rewiring of Quarters #1; installation of GFCI outlets and hardwired Smoke/CO alarms in specified buildings; coordination with Refuge staff for exact locations of installations. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from June 10, 2026 to September 8, 2026. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the National Elk Refuge located in Jackson, Wyoming.
