Background The City of Papillion is a municipal corporation incorporated in the State of Nebraska as a first-class city. The City is soliciting proposals for the selection of the most qualified servicer to provide Facility Janitorial Services for multiple City Departments. The goal of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and maintenance across various city facilities, enhancing the operational environment for city employees and visitors. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services across multiple locations including: - Papillion City Hall - Sump Memorial Library - Papillion Parks and Facilities Office - Papillion Police Department - Public Works Department (Buildings A, B, C) - Eagle Hills Golf Course - Tara Hills Golf Course - Human Resources Office - Water Treatment Plant (Main Plant and Auxiliary Building). Services include but are not limited to: emptying trash containers, dusting surfaces, cleaning washrooms (including sanitizing fixtures), cleaning kitchen areas (including sanitizing countertops), maintaining floors (damp mopping and scrubbing), and ensuring all areas are clean and presentable according to specified frequencies (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.). The contractor must also provide all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment except for paper products and soap which will be provided by the City. Period of Performance The contract will have a term of three years with possible extensions of two additional one-year terms. Services are expected to commence on August 1, 2026. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Papillion, Nebraska. Bidder Requirements Bidders must not utilize subcontractors without prior approval from the City. All employees performing work under this contract must be at least 18 years old and pass background checks. Bidders must maintain insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation including general liability and workers' compensation. A janitorial service industry bond in the minimum amount of $25,000 is required to protect against losses caused by employee actions.
