Background The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS) is undertaking a project to install an Elopement Alarm System at the new Tulsa VA Medical Center, which is currently being renovated and is expected to open in June 2026. This system is crucial for notifying nursing staff when monitored patients, identified as being at elevated risk for elopement, leave the facility. The installation of this system is necessary to ensure it is operational before the first patient visit. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for supplying and installing an Elopement Alarm System that includes: - Monitoring of 8 doors across 4 floors and installation of 16 annunciating stations. - Wiring between all devices in accordance with the statement of work. - The Elopement Alarm System must be compatible with and integrated into the existing Jeron Provider 790 nurse call system. Equipment to be provided includes: - 8 Wanderguard Blue Door Alarms Controllers, which wirelessly identify bracelets within range and issue alerts. These controllers must be capable of upgrades for additional features such as proximity awareness, auto-door locking mechanisms, and access keypads/badge readers. - 16 Wanderguard Blue Nurse Station Annunciators that provide audible alerts at four locations on four floors. - 50 Wanderguard Blue Bracelets that are durable, cut-resistant, have IP67 or better water ingress protection, and a smooth surface for easy sterilization. Installation and staff training are included in this procurement. Period of Performance The contract performance period for delivery and installation of the Elopement Alarm System is scheduled between May 2026 and August 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the new Tulsa VA Medical Center located at 440 S. Houston Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74127.
