Background The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk, Strategic Sealift Program Support Office, is conducting market research for a 60-day Jones Act tanker time charter. The primary mission of this contract is to transport clean petroleum in support of the Defense Logistics Agency-Energy. This request for information aims to gather details on the price and availability of compliant vessels. Work Details The contractor will provide clean, U.S. Jones Act MR tankers, ITB/ATB, or other non-connected tug and barge vessels that meet specific regulatory carriage requirements. The vessels must have an inert gas system (or equivalent) and segregated ballast tanks capable of carrying a minimum capacity of 230,000 BBLS JP5/F76/JAA for MR tankers or 150,000 BBLS JP5/F76/JAA for ITB/ATB/non-connected tug and barge.
