Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District is soliciting the procurement of #2 Southern White Pine timbers for use on miter gates for the Upper Mississippi River Locks and Dams. This contract aims to support the maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure along the river. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of 144 pieces of #2 Southern White Pine timbers with the following specifications: - Dimensions: 6" x 10" x 10' - Cut tolerance: +/- 1" - Structural grade - Dressed surface with clean cut square edges - Pressure treatment must comply with AWPA C2 (For Fresh Water Use) using a 0.4 water-borne preservative (AWPA P5). The use of chromated zinc chlorides, pentachlorophenol-ammoniacal systems, and alkyl ammonium compounds is prohibited. Each piece must be branded by the producer according to AWPA M6. Additionally, a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the pressure treatment must be included. Period of Performance Delivery is required no later than July 1, 2026. Place of Performance Delivery shall be made to Lock and Dam 5A, located at W679 State Highway 35, Fountain City, WI 54629-0397.
