Background The Tioga County Department of Public Works is undertaking a project to install a new utility roll-up door at the Public Safety Building located at 103 Corporate Dr., Owego, NY 13827. This project is locally funded and aims to enhance the functionality and security of the facility. Work Details The contract involves the following key tasks: 1. Removal of an 8'-0" x 7'-4" portion of the existing CMU exterior wall system. 2. Installation of an 8'-0" x 7'-4" insulated coiling door system with a manual pull chain, specifically the Cornell Iron model ESD20CR. 3. Repairing and repointing masonry as necessary to facilitate the installation of the overhead door. 4. Priming and painting the bent metal around the perimeter of the CMU opening, with color selected by the owner. 5. The overhead door will have an R-value of 8 and be capable of withstanding wind loads up to 40 PSF. Period of Performance The work is scheduled to commence after April 23rd, 2026, following the public bid opening, and is expected to be completed in a timely manner as per project specifications. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Public Safety Building located at 103 Corporate Dr., Owego, NY 13827. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a bid guaranty for at least five percent (5%) of their bid amount, furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, and provide insurance as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
