Background The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking to procure two sizes of non-splintering #1 southern yellow pine wood for use in picnic table boards. This procurement aligns with OPRHP's mission to enhance recreational facilities across New York State, ensuring safe and durable structures for public use. Work Details The contract involves the supply of two specific sizes of non-splintering #1 southern yellow pine wood with radius edges. The details are as follows: - Item 1: 2’ X 10’ X 6’ non-splintering #1 Southern Yellow Pine with radius edges (3/8” radius). After milling, dimensions should be approximately 1 3/8” x 9”. Quantity required: 3,165 units. - Item 2: 2’ X 10’ X 12’ non-splintering #1 Southern Yellow Pine with radius edges (3/8” radius). After milling, dimensions should be approximately 1 3/8” x 9”. Quantity required: 325 units. All items are to be delivered to various locations as specified in the attached delivery locations document. Period of Performance The contract is expected to commence upon award and will require delivery by April 23, 2026. Place of Performance Delivery will occur at multiple locations across Nassau and Suffolk counties in New York, as detailed in Attachment 1 of the RFQ. Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate Good Faith Efforts to include Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) in their proposals where subcontracting opportunities exist. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability Insurance and Workers' Compensation Insurance as outlined in the RFQ.
