Summary (Newest Update)

Background The contract is issued by the USDA Forest Service for the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. It aims to maintain cleanliness and sanitation at recreation sites within the East Zone. The goal of the contract is to ensure proper waste management through the pumping of vault toilets, holding tanks, and septic tanks in compliance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources regulations. Work Details The vendor will be responsible for pumping waste from 137 campground vault toilets, 4 holding tanks, and 18 septic tanks located in Vilas, Oneida, Forest, Florence, Oconto, and Langlade Counties. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis and must be completed within 5 business days of request. The vendor is required to lock and close tank access after service if no Forest Service staff are present. The Forest Service will handle general cleaning of vault toilets and provide toilet paper. The estimated number of pumping requests per year is approximately 125 between May and October across both zones. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. Place of Performance The services will be performed in the East Zone of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, specifically in Vilas, Oneida, Forest, Florence, Oconto, and Langlade Counties.
