Background The Civil Engineering Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base (AFB), NM, is seeking to restore the functionality of Well SA-1, which is located approximately five miles south of Alamogordo. The well has a depth of about 710 feet and features a 16-inch casing that has become clogged with debris. The goal of this contract is to perform cleaning services to ensure the well operates effectively. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Clean Water Well SA-1, which includes injecting a liquid descaling cleaning solution into the well and using a brush to clean the inside of the casing. 2. Brush the well for a total of twenty (20) hours. After fifteen (15) hours of brushing, stop work and take a video of the well casing for review by the CE Utility Shop. 3. If further brushing is deemed necessary by the CE Utility Shop, continue brushing for up to five (5) additional hours. 4. Remove debris from the bottom of the well, bidding for ten (10) hours dedicated to bailing and sand pumping. 5. Take another video once all brushing and bailing are complete.
